The PMHS exam validates the added knowledge, skills, and expertise of advanced practice registered nurses in the early identification, intervention, and collaboration of care for children and adolescents with mental and behavioral health concerns.
Get PMHS Certified
The PMHS exam addresses the need to strengthen care to children and families experiencing behavioral and mental health care concerns. PNPs, FNPs, PMHCNS-BCs, and PMHNP-BCs are eligible.
Recertify as a PMHS
PMHSs recertify every 3 years to document how they are maintaining competence in practice. The Recert application is due between November 1 and January 31 prior to your wallet card expiration date.
