Exam Rescheduling or Withdrawal

Fees may apply. Prometric charges if you reschedule or cancel 15 days or less before your previously scheduled test date. Carefully review fee and refund policies below if considering a change. Applying for an extension for your current 90-day testing windowThe 90-day testing window is assigned by PNCB. It starts the day your complete application is approved. You must schedule your exam and test within this timeframe. You are notified promptly by email and postcard when the window starts. Confirm any changes. Candidates who reschedule or cancel by phone must make and confirm all cancellations/changes through direct contact with Prometric Candidate Services at 866-496-9748 during normal hours of operation. Leaving a voice mail message is not acceptable means to confirm cancellation or date changes. Candidates may also make changes by logging in at Prometric's website..

Policies & Fees to Reschedule or Withdraw

Reschedule less than 5 days before scheduled test date $50 per reschedule. Candidates must contact Prometric. Exam must be rescheduled within assigned 90-day testing period. You cannot reschedule an exam on the day of your exam appointment.

How do I properly withdraw/cancel?

To successfully withdraw, you must follow these two steps:

  1. Email a withdrawal request to exam@pncb.org. Your request must be received at PNCB 16 business days before expiration of your assigned 90-day testing window in order to receive a refund of the examination fee only.
  2. Cancel any testing appointment with Prometric by visiting their website - https://www.prometric.com/pncb - or phoning 866-496-9748 no less than 16 days before your scheduled test date.
Withdrawal requests received following expiration of a 90-day testing period will not be honored, and no fees will be refunded. To test in the future, the candidate must reapply and pay all fees.

What if I fail to show for my exam?

A candidate who fails to schedule an examination or fails to report for a scheduled examination within the assigned 90-day testing period forfeits all fees. The candidate will be required to reapply.

How can I receive a refund?

To successfully withdraw from your 90-day testing period, you must meet the following requirements:
