Scheduling Your CPN Exam

The exam is delivered by computer at over 300 Prometric Testing Centers throughout the United States by appointment only. Typical center hours are Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm and Saturdays 8am to 1pm. Available times will show when scheduling your exam on Prometric's website. Appointments are first-come, first-served.

How to Schedule
You Will Receive Approval & Scheduling Notification Watch for this important email and postcard from PNCB. You should receive it within 2 weeks of PNCB approval of your complete application. You are assigned a 90-day testing windowThe 90-day testing window is assigned by PNCB. It starts the day your complete application is approved. You must schedule your exam and test within this timeframe. You are notified promptly by email and postcard when the window starts. If you do not schedule or test in this timeframe, you forfeit fees. Check your application status regularly. If you do not receive your notification, check spam then contact PNCB. Once you receive it, download your official eligibility letter with scheduling instructions at My Documents. You are ready to make your exam appointment with Prometric.

Make Your Appointment Have your calendar handy and visit Prometric's website to select a date and time, then schedule your exam. Don't delay. Waiting to schedule may impact availability of desired date.

Be sure to check your appointment confirmation email from Prometric to confirm that date, time and location of testing. Any errors should be reported immediately to Prometric.
