In July 2011, I became the first RN at my facility to take and pass the CPEN examination. It was quite an accomplishment for me!! I'm known in my department as "the pedi nurse", and I appreciate the opportunity to be recognized with this certification showing that I have the knowledge to provide care to the pediatric patients of my community.

Last Monday I took my chances at the exam to become a Certified Pediatric Nurse. I found out today I PASSED! Being able to sign up for exams without having to put out the money upfront makes things a lot easier.
