For over twenty years, the PNCB facilitated a committee review of PNP educational programs and this
activity was titled Program Review. The National Task Force Criteria (NTFC) Faculty Resource Library, which the PNCB endorses,
focuses on the same quality indicators previously required for PNCB's Program Review. Because all PNP programs must be
accredited by CCNE or NLNAC, PNCB's Board of Directors decided that an in-depth program review is no longer necessary. Our process has
been restructured to a yearly application process known as the Program Resources Application.
Each recognized PNP program is required to complete a yearly application documenting PNP accreditation dates, required
clinical practice hours and what might be practice areas for typical students plus course numbers, titles and credit hours for
Advanced Physiology and Pathophysiology, Advanced Pharmacology and Advanced Health Assessment courses. Currently recognized programs
will be notified yearly to complete an application.
If your program is not recognized, and you wish to apply for recognition, please email programresources@pncb.org.
