* The Record Review (formerly Inactive) option is not recommended but is included as a choice should you be faced with unusual circumstances that prevent you from completing an activity. For this option, you will enroll in Recert, update your record, and pay a reduced fee. Only 1 Record Review Year is allowed within each 7-year cycle. Please note: You will be required to meet Pediatric Updates requirements for your 7-year cycle to remain certified.

Change Order Fee

When choosing your Recertification option, consider your choice carefully. Changing your Recertification option after placing your order will require a $30 change order fee.

Cancellation of Pediatric Updates (formerly SAE)

All refund requests must be written and submitted to recert@pncb.org or faxed to 301-330-1504. Refunds requested within 30 days of order date will be honored. Requests received 30 days after the order date will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Primary Care CPNP® Recert Options

Required in each 7-year tracking cycle: Primary Care Pediatric Updates totalling 15 contact hours (equals 2 Pediatric Updates modules).

Required in each 7-year tracking cycle: Your choice of either Primary Care, Pharmacology, or Acute Care Pediatric Updates totalling 15 contact hours (equals 2 Pediatric Updates modules).

In addition to your specific CPNP options and requirements above, you will be able to maintain your CPN certification by completing 1 Pediatric Nursing Pediatric Updates module within each 7-year tracking cycle. Most likely, your two seven year cycles will not be in sync.

CPNP Requirements + 1 CPN Pediatric Updates Module = Maintenance of CPN-CPNP Recertification

CE that meets approval for CPNP recertification may be used for the CPN CE option as well.
