PNCB Recognized PNP Programs
The PNCB is nationally recognized for its
PNP Program Review process. Established in 1977, this review
process first sought to recognize Primary Care PNP programs that have met the quality
guidelines for PNP education. Educational standards for Primary Care and Acute Care PNPs are outlined in the Resource Library documents below. With the advent of our Acute Care CPNP® certification,
we now review and recognize AC PNP programs as well. Our Program Review parallels the accreditation processes used by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
and the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
For a list of PNP programs we recognize, please visit our
Primary Care PNP Programs and
Acute Care PNP Programs pages.
The PNCB conducts program review throughout the year.
