Info You Can Use

Certification Advocate Awards: These annual awards recognize a CPN®, a Primary Care CPNP®, and an Acute Care CPNP® who are outstanding advocates for certification at a local/hospital level, regional or national level. Self-nominations are accepted, and the deadline is December 1st of each year. The application for 2012 will be posted in the coming months.

Free Continuing Education: PNCB now offers free modules on a variety of topics. Medscape, Nursing Spectrum, and Discovery Health also offer online continuing education at no cost. Content areas relevant to pediatric nursing or professional development in nursing can be used toward PNCB Recertification.
